A woman knocked off her bike by a lorry last week is now recovering in hospital.
The 22-year-old, from Oxfordshire, was involved in a collision with the lorry on Upper Richmond Road West, near the junction with East Sheen Avenue, on Wednesday June 27. She was rushed to hospital by air ambulance.
Traffic chaos ensued as the busy thoroughfare was closed to all traffic for several hours.
A police spoksperson said: "The woman was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital where she underwent an operation to remove her spleen.
"She also had damage to her pancreas and ribs.
"She was out of danger on Thursday June 28 and moved to a normal ward."
