Three teenage boys from south London who were arrested on suspicion of planning to join ISIS have been charged.

In total five Londoners were charged with terrorism offences yesterday evening, including two boys from Hounslow and one from Merton. The youngest suspect is 15 years old.

It was reported that the group, who were arrested earlier this week, had been planning to join the terrorist group ISIS.

Ahmedeltigani Alsyed, 19, of Hounslow, and a 17-year-old from Merton, are each charged with a count of preparation of terrorist acts and collection of information contrary the Terrorism Act 2000.

A 17-year-old from Hounslow was also charged with preparation of terrorist acts, contrary to section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006 and dissemination of terrorist publications.

The 15-year -old, of Waltham Forest, is charged with collection of information and two counts of dissemination of terrorist publications.

A 16-year-old from Lambeth is also charged with preparation of terrorist acts.

Their arrests followed searches at four residential addresses in London on Tuesday, February 14.

The group is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today.
