A 20-year-old man who stabbed his victim twice in the chest in a “shocking” unprovoked attack has been jailed for 10 years.

Mohad Mohamed, from Holderness Close in Isleworth, admitted wounding with intent to cause GBH at Kingston Crown Court, and was jailed on Friday, February 10.

He stabbed his victim in Richmond Road, near the junction of South Street, in Isleworth at about 11.30pm on July 14 last year.

Police officers found a 26-year-old man with two stab wounds to his chest receiving first aid from passers-by. He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington where he had emergency surgery.

Metropolitan Police said it was very likely he would have bled to death if it was not for the efforts of members of the public to save him.

Mohamed, known as ‘Little M’, was initially charged with attempted murder but pleaded guilty to the wounding with intent.

Detective Constable Tony Williams, from Hounslow CID, said: "This was a shocking attack for no apparent reason which left the victim with severe life-threatening injuries.

"If it wasn't for the quick-thinking members of the public that rushed to his aid, it's very likely that the victim would have bled to death.”
