Classical music fans will have the opportunity to see renowned soprano Sophie Bevan performing in Teddington this month just two weeks before she opens in the principal role of Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier at the Royal Opera House.
Collis Choral Singers, and their Musical Director Sebastian Valentine, are delighted to be joined by Sophie as the soprano soloist for their performance of Handel’s Messiah at St Mark’s Church TW11 9DE on Sunday December 4th at 7pm.
Multi-award-winning Sophie received the Young Singer Award at the 2013 inaugural International Opera Awards.
She has appeared at the Wigmore Hall, BBC Proms and the Edinburgh, Aldeburgh and Lucerne Festivals.
Plans include Beatriz (Royal Opera), Hermione in the world premiere of Wigglesworth’s A Winter’s Tale (ENO) and her debut at the Metropolitan Opera, New York.
