The body of a fisherman has been found in the Thames near Walton.
Surrey Police said the man's body was found after concerns were raised for a missing person yesterday.
A spokeswoman said: "Officers attended the riverside in Walton yesterday following concerns for the safety of a missing person believed to have been fishing at the location prior to his disappearance.
"Following a search of the area, the body of a man was discovered in the river by Surrey Fire and Rescue at around 4.45pm.
"Surrey Police are currently treating the death as unexplained and enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
"A post-mortem examination is due to take place later today."
