A wallet full of old family photos was found at Kew Gardens and police are trying to re-unite it with its owner.

Kew Constabulary posted a photo of the ‘well-loved’ leather wallet, in which there are three sepia-toned photos of family members, as well as what appears to be a recent picture of its owner.

Kew Constabulary said: “It's not often we do this but we think this is a bit special.

“Each year we handle several thousand items of property, some of which is valuable, some of which has no monetary value and some of which, like this photo holder is of great sentimental value.

“We have a very high success rate of reuniting people with their lost items, but because there was no identification with this, we have no way of finding out who it belongs to, which is why we are turning to you on the web to help us.

“If you recognise anyone in the pictures, or you know the owner, (or if you are the owner) please ask them to get in touch with us. If not, then please help us by sharing the post.”
