Richmond Synagogue celebrate its 100th anniversary with the induction of a new Rabbi last weekend.
Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis told the packed congregation on Sunday that he looked forward to a bright future for the synagogue, with was formed in 1916 in Parkshot before a 1938 move to Sheen Road and a final move to its current home in Lichfield Gardens in 1987.
Rabbi Mirvis welcomed new minister Rabbi Meir Shindler, his wife and four children, who moved to Richmond from Chigwell and Hainault Synagogue in Essex.
