Newly crowned Masterchef winner Jane Devonshire will make her cooking debut at the Foodies Festival in Syon Park this Bank Holiday weekend.

The 2016 cooking champ is one of a long line-up of attractions at the three-day festival from Friday to Monday, which also include:

Big names

The Chefs Theatre will include demonstrations from Michelin-starred chefs Atul Kochhar and Janos Veres alongside Jane and fellow Masterchef finalist Jack Layer, Masterchef 2015 finalist Tony Rodd and 2010 winner Dhruv Baker.

A bit of burlesque

Burlesque Baker Charlotte White will be putting on a show with her summer bakes in the Cake and Bake Theatre.

Street food

The Street Food Avenue will have food from all around the world to tuck into with grub from around the world, including Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Argentinian, Turkish, India, Korean, Mexican, French and African.

Food challenge

A bug-eating contest – featuring crickets, grubs, ants and grasshoppers – will give festival goers something different to try as well as the chance to get competitive. There is also a chilli-eating challenge, starting with bell peppers and getting hotter. Can you beat the 16 million scoville record set last year?

Something for the kids

The Children’s Cookery School has an Olympic theme where little ones can decorate their own edible gold medal as well as making pizzas and cupcakes.

Thirsty work

You won’t go thirsty with wine and beer masterclasses, blindfolded whisky challenges and mixologists knocking up some tempting tipples. Or you can visit the numerous, quirky pop-up bars- from the giant Pimm’s teapot to the double-decker BarBus.

Artisan Producers Market

You don’t just have to nosh down on hot grub, there will be food to take home with more than 120 stalls to wander around, from Champagne-infused fudge to seaweed seasoning.
