This pistol was found wrapped in a black bag in a bush in Whitton’s Murray Park.
Police conducting a mass sweep of the area on February 10 also found two knives, two bags of cannabis, a phone believed to be a burner mobile, uncapped needles and a hammer.

Areas including Edgar Road, Murray Park, Powder Mill Lane were swept for knives and other items that could be linked to crime as part of Operation Sceptre.
PC Jack Prichard tweeted: "This was the total haul for today's weapon sweep. 1x firearm, 2 x knives, 1 x phone and many more."
The pistol, has been made safe and sent for analysis. It is believed to be a real firearm.
