More than £600,000 has been spent on extra policing at rugby matches in Twickenham in the past 20 months, according to the Mayor of London.
Liberal Democrat London Assembly member Caroline Pidgeon asked Boris Johnson to provide details of how much was spent on additional police officers between January 2014 and October 2015.
The estimated cost of public order policing outside of the stadium, including estimates for the Rugby World Cup, was £610,600.
Metropolitan Police does not provide officers in Twickenham stadium or sites owned or leased by the RFU, who employs its own security.
Some £470,000 of the amount includes 'opportunity costs', which means the costs that would be incurred for the officers normal duties.
Ms Pidgeon previously has called for football clubs to pay for policing in the areas surrounding their stadiums.
