A hand grenade, unexploded shells and medals from both world wars are on display at an exhibition at East Sheen Baptist Church this week.

The surrounding community honoured those who fell during the First and Second World War by contributing historic items to the display.

Reverend Louise Hearn said she was touched by how many people contributed to the "fantastic" exhibition.

Also on display were medals won by her son, Johannes Hearn, while serving in bomb disposal in Afghanistan in 2010 and 2012.

Richmond and Twickenham Times:

Rev Hearn said: "Everyone said it was a good exhibition, including the man who helps organise the Remembrance display at Harrods.

"We are all very proud."
