A young woman has racked up so many convictions for bike theft that she has been banned from even owning a bicyle or any tools that might help her cut through bike locks, for five years.

Serial thief Jade Bull has 26 convictions of theft and going equipped to steal dating back to October 2014 and a criminal behaviour order was granted at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on October 15.

The 23-year-old, from Andover Road, Twickenham, is well known to police, who said that the majority of her offences were carried out within a mile of her home.

The unusual order prohibits Bull from being in possession of any bicycle or bicycle part with carrying valid proof of ownership and of being in possession of any tools capable of cutting through bicycle locks or parts.

The prohibited tools include angle grinders, bolt croppers and spanners.

Bull is also banned from advertising any bicycle or bicycle parts online or in person without being able to prove ownership.

She was also handed a five month prison sentence suspended for 18 months and given a drug rehabilitation requirement.

Bull must wear a Buddi Tag that will keep track of her whereabouts for the remaining 18 months of her suspended sentence.
