Shocking footage of a four-way brawl outside a Croydon fast food restaurant has been posted online.

Your Local Guardian:

Aftermath: One of the girls was left on the ground

The video shows four young people - two men and two women - grappling with each other in the doorway of KFC in London Road, West Croydon, in front of speechless shoppers.

It was uploaded to YouTube on Saturday under the title "2 MEN BEAT UP 2 WOMEN IN CROYDON, OCT 2015".

Dave Whiting, manager of H&T Pawnbrokers across the street, said: "It was just crazy over there. We closed our door for security reasons in cased it spilled over.

"We don’t know what happened, we just saw two boys and two girls and another couple of lads jumping in. It looks even worse on the video."

The video's description says the scuffle took place just after 1pm that afternoon.

At the start of the footage one of the men, wearing a hood, appears to aim a punch at one of the women as she wrestles with the second man just inside the restaurant.

Dragged onto the floor, one of the women involved can be heard screaming: "Why are you dragging my hair?"

At another stage one of the women seems to shout: "Are you dissing my mum?"

The footage shows a crowd of shoppers looking on in shock.

As the violence dies down, one man appears to intervene. The two men soon leave, as the women stand at the bus stop outside the restaurant.

Another passerby can be heard apparently describing the brawl on her phone. She can be heard saying: "Just disgusting."
