A mother was left stranded carrying her one-year-old twins after their buggy was taken, writes Marianna Spring.

Liz Maher, mum of twins Aaron and James Woodward, left the buggy on Powder Mill Lane opposite the Heathfield's Children's Centre in Whitton when she took her children for their one-year check-up.

Ms Maher of Heathfield South, Twickenham said: "I was in a rush and I didn’t think about it until it was too late. Unfortunately there was no-where to park the buggy inside the actual centre, so I left it on the other-side of the road."

"Obviously the twins aren’t walking yet so it’s very difficult without a buggy; we will have to order a new one. I have two very restless boys on my hands now as they are unable to go out as much with no pushchair."

When she returned 20 minutes later at about 2.50pm on Tuesday, August 19, the £400 OutnAbout double-seated buggy was stolen.

Mrs Maher has stuck up posters and put notices through letter boxes along Powder Mill Lane, but is yet to hear anything back.
