A couple from East Sheen who lost two of their unborn triplets to a rare syndrome are taking part in a charity cycle ride in their sons' memory.
Team: Lynne and Justin Woolley
Lynne and Justin Woolley discovered they were expecting triplets in 2013, but joy turned to sorrow when doctors diagnosed two of the babies; Alex and Jake, with severe twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS).
Both babies died from the condition, which affects 10 to 15 per cent of identical twins.
Sadly, both Alex and Jake died to the condition that affects just 10 to 15 per cent of identical twins, but the third baby, Dylan, arrived happy and healthy at 36 weeks.
Mrs Woolley said: "I was devastated when we lost Alex and Jake. I hoped that one day I’d be able to do something to help other families in memory of our two beautiful boys and to make my surviving triplet Dylan proud of his mum too."
The couple are taking part in the London Nightrider moonlit cycle ride on June 6 in aid of the Twin and Multiple Births Association’s TTTS appeal.
