There were severe traffic problems on the A316 and surrounding areas after an accident between a cyclist and a car.
The accident was thought to have happened at about 5.30pm, in the middle of evening rush hour, causing severe delays around the A316 Lower Mortlake Road.
A London Ambulance spokesman said: "We were called at 5:39pm to reports of road traffic collision involving a car and a cyclist on Richmond Circus at the junction of Twickenham Road.
"We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.
"We treated a woman reported to be in her 20s for a back injury.
"She was taken to West Middlesex Hospital."
The A307 Kew Road was blocked in both directions and the 65 bus route was on diversion while emergency services dealt with the incident.
All lanes reopened at about 7.50pm and traffic had begun to return to normal.

A316 Richmond Circus at the junction of Kew Road - Kew Road is closed while emergency services attend to a collision. Traffic is very slow

Just heard another cyclist has been injured at #RichmondCircus - tonight we're at @london_cycling to talk about the A316. Horrible irony.
