THE parents of a 10-year-old boy killed in a hit-and-run accident are expected to describe their grief over their son's death.
Sean Hamilton, of York, was crossing Holgate Road in the city on Saturday when he was hit by a blue Ford Transit van.
His parents, Sharon and Ronnie, were too upset over the weekend to talk about his death, but left a written tribute to him at the scene where he died. The message in the card, signed "from Mum and Dad", as well as Kerry-Ann, Ryan and Stephanie, read: "Sean. You will always be with us."
A spokesman said the occupants of the van that hit Sean stopped after the collision but they then abandoned the vehicle and ran off. Five local men were arrested in connection with the youngster's death.
They were released on police bail.
