To help patients understand more about the hospital and new developments under way, a new patient newsletter named Outlook has been launched by West Middlesex Hospital.
Intended to contain a variety of diverse articles on care and services offered at the hospital, the first edition includes details on the new planned orthopaedic surgery at the hospital and information on how staff are helping to ensure vulnerable patients get the correct nutrition.
Jane Brennan, the hospital's head of corporate affairs, said: "We think it is very important that our patients are able to find good, accurate and up-to-date information about West Mid. We are launching a number of new initiatives to help all our patients understand the hospital more easily, from where to go when they arrive for their appointment through to detailed information about infection control."
The newsletter comes a month after West Mid's new website west-middlesex-hosptial.nhs.uk went online.
Any patient who would like to receive a copy of the newsletter can either do so by visiting the West Middlesex website, emailing tracey.wallace@wmuh.nhs.uk or calling 020 8321 5600.
