Pancakes were flipped and filled with recipes from Richmond’s top chefs on Sunday in an effort to raise awareness of food waste.
In the UK, 7 million tonnes of household food waste is thrown away each year and the Flippin’ Food Waste campaign, run by Hubbub and the South West London Environment Network, aims to show how leftovers can be made into pancakes.
Local chefs including Petersham Nurseries and Chez Lindsay joined in the fun, in George Street on February 22.
