The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Thames between Thames Ditton and Teddington.
The authority said this morning that high tide levels are forecast to reach 5.1m just after 6pm tonight.
It said: “Flooding of low lying land and roads is possible during the first tides. Property flooding is not currently expected.
“The weather prospects are for scattered showers today which may be heavy at times. Showers will clear in the evening.
“Tuesday will be mainly dry but there is a chance of some showers.”
