The US ambassador to the UK paid a visit to Richmond College last week to talk all things America with more than 100 students.
Matthew Barzun, a key figure in Barack Obama’s election campaigns, discussed positive and negative impressions of America as well as discussing its various policies.
Students had the chance to ask questions about foreign policy, gun laws, healthcare, racial equality and climate change.
He also presented two embassy coins to college students Belky Wara and Hibo Abdi.
Student union president Miss Wara, 17, said: “I feel genuinely honoured to have received my embassy coin from him and plan to have it framed and put on my wall.”
