Christmas cheer will be spread this year, via the unique collaboration of two choirs based in Richmond and Whitton, writes Lauren Mason.
Richmond Choral Society and Whitton Choral Society are joining forces to perform a medley of hymns, festive tunes and Bach’s captivating Christmas Oratario.
The collaboration is the brainchild of former Richmond Choral Society soloist Rosalind O’Dowd.
Richmond Choral Society’s musical director Jane Oates says: "Combining the choirs means we can create a bigger sound and do full justice to a work as exciting and powerful as Bach Oratorio.
"The audience will be in for a Christmas treat."
The choral collective will also perform at Whitton Choir’s base, Whitton Baptist Church.
