A Breaking Bad enthusiast hopes his new cookbook inspired by the television phenomenon will be a Christmas bestseller.
Chris Mitchell, 24, from Kew, came up with the idea for the Breaking Bad Cookbook after the season finale aired and he stumbled across a number of blogs about how to throw the perfect party themed on the hit US show.
After creating a number of dishes, ranging from the Heisenburger to Los Pollos Hermanos fried chicken, Mr Mitchell said he became hooked on the idea of making a whole range of meals.
He said: "I had great fun researching the book because I could just sit on my sofa for hours re-watching the show and make the occasional note whenever food appears, and tell everyone I was doing serious work."
Despite writing a cookbook, Mr Mitchell, of Kew Riverside Park, Strand Drive, said he was not a good cook at all and some things went horribly wrong when creating the recipes.
He added: "The worst disaster was possibly when trying to make the 'blue crystal meth' candy... You need a candy thermometer to measure the temperature accurately, but I felt confident I could trust my gut. I was wrong.
"I still don't know quite what happened but the candy quickly turned from a pleasant blue colour to a sickly green and then a dark brown."
Mr Mitchell said he would love the book to be a Christmas bestseller and hopes more people other than his friends and family buy his book.
He said: "I think overall, though, if there are no reports of food poisoning then I'll be incredibly happy and count it as a resounding success."
