Sutton stood still for two minutes as people remembered those who died fighting for their country.
Remembrance services were held across the borough on Sunday November 9 at 11am.
Sutton Council leader Councillor Ruth Dombey together with mayor Arthur Hookway and MP Tom Brake were at the Carshalton War Memorial for a wreath laying ceremony as well as hundreds of others who wished to pay their respects.
Smaller services were held at the borough's other war memorials including Cheam, led by Father Ben from Saint Dunstan's Church.
