Two Richmond Park Academy students met the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport at a House of Commons reception.

Patrycja Cygan, 15, and Avi Chahal, 14, met Sajid Javid to talk about their involvement in the global youth media programme, Adobe Youth Voices (AYV).

The students produced short films as part of Adobe’s UK programme delivered in London by Eastside Educational Trust.

Patrycja’s film Open Your Eyes was shortlisted for the international AYV awards earlier this year and she has since been accepted on to the BFI film academy course, also run by Eastside.

The parliamentary reception was held on Thursday, October 30, to celebrate the trust’s 20th anniversary.

During the event, Patrycja and Avi were able to tell Mr Javid about the AYV programme and how technology and digital skills are transforming the future.
