The stories of 86 war heroes were recounted as part of a one-mile walk, organised by the North St Margarets Residents' Association.
A healthy crowd turned up for the walk on Saturday morning, starting at the Ailsa Tavern before finishing at the Isleworth War Memorial in South Street.
The men discussed are all recorded on the roll of honour at the All Souls Church in St Margarets.
Starting at the Ailsa, walkers learnt about the former publican’s son, Percy Davies, one of the first to enlist and who lost his life in the trenches.
Also on the tour was a visit to the home of a man who lost his life alongside Lord Kitchener on the HMS Hampshire.
