Wars 100 years and 3,000 miles apart are the theme for a new contemporary dance work at Teddington’s Landmark Arts Centre this October.
Dance company Gravity & Levity use six aerialists and dancers to tell the tale of soldiers in the First World War Belgian battlefields and the ravaged streets of present day Kabul in their production Rites of War.
The production combines rich visual language with music, film and news commentary to reveal the ugly truths and unexpected beauty of conflicts then and now.
- Rites of War; Landmark Arts Centre, Ferry Road, Teddington; October 28 at 8pm, October 29 at 4pm; £7, £5 concessions; call 020 8977 7558 or visit wegottickets.com/location/1611.
