Two charities benefited from equal shares of £60,000 thanks to former mayor, Councillor Meena Bond.
Coun Bond, mayor for the 2013-14 municpal year, raised more than any other mayor in the borough’s history.
The Avenue Club and Home-Start Richmond were presented with cheques at Kew Community Centre on Wednesday, September 17.
Coun Bond said: “I had a fabulous time being mayor and it was a thrill to raise money for two causes I care deeply for."
Current mayor, Councillor Jane Boulton, chose Momentum and Homelink as her charities for the mayoral year.
