The Vatican’s finest batsmen, bowlers and all-rounders are visiting St Mary’s University, Twickenham, as part of a Cricket Tour of Light.
The Vatican cricket team arrived at the university on September 12, and are participating in a five-match tour of the country where they will play teams including the Royal Army Chaplain’s Department, culminating in a match against a Church of England team at Kent County Cricket Club.
St Mary’s University, the oldest and largest Catholic University in England, hosts the Vatican team for the first six days of the tour.
