Passengers will benefit from a £210m train order to create more services from Waterloo to Hampton Court and Guildford via Cobham.
It was announced Wednesday, September 3, at London Waterloo station that investment from South West Trains would provide for more than 24,000 extra peak-time passengers.
In the past two decades, the number of people using South West Trains service has increased by more than 100 per cent and more than 222m journeys are made every year.
Rail Minister Claire Perry said: "This latest new train deal is proof not only of our determination to transform Britain's railways but also the industry's commitment to deliver a better journey for Britain's passengers."
