A group of knitters will get up to some monkey business next week as their creations go ape in Richmond.
The Knitwits want to stitch up in support of Vineyard Community Centre by placing knitted monkeys and other characters in Hill Rise.
The knitting group use the community centre’s coffee bar on Thursday afternoons and will raise funds for the charity by taking part in the guerrilla knitting craze.
Enid Kimmerling from the Knitwits said: "We are serious knitters though amateurs are very welcome to join, and for the most part, the group is in stitches.
"We had an idea to raise funds for the very valuable work of the centre which looks after people in crisis and operates the Richmond foodbank."
The group will complete their knitting in Hill Rise, Richmond, on Thursday, August 28, from 9am to 4pm.
