A woman who lost her wedding rings while having a picnic on Richmond Green is appealing for help in finding them.

Shahnaz Ahmed was enjoying a picnic with friends on August 3 and removed her rings to put on sun lotion, before moving and losing them.

She has spent hours searching the green for them and has put up posters in the surrounding areas.

Mrs Ahmed said: "I am heartbroken to have lost items of such sentimental value and especially as my husband and I had just celebrated our third wedding anniversary only a week earlier.

"I'm also pregnant with our first child, a little girl, and it breaks my heart even more that I could possibly never find items I would have loved to give her one day."

If you find the rings, please contact the police or call Mrs Ahmed directly on 07732 294755.

Sorry to read this. The rings must surely still be there somewhere?

Can anyone with a metal detector link up with the lady and search around the area she was sitting?

Hope she finds her rings soon.
