Drivers travelling through Richmond and Twickenham can expect hours of delays after a crash involving a cyclist and a refuse truck shut roads this morning.
The cyclist, believed to be in his 30s, was airlifted to hospital after the crash by Kew Foot Road and the A316 Twickenham Road just before 8am today, July 21.
The crash, near Richmond Athletic Ground and Richmond Circus, means drivers will face heavy delays as the A316 was shut in the Richmond direction for accident investigation to take place.
Police said the road is likely to be shut for several hours and Transport for London said the traffic impact is severe.
The cyclist was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
