Revellers paraded through the streets of Barnes to celebrate the 40th village fair in the town.

Organised by the Barnes Community Association (BCA), the the fair treated visitors to a carnival-style parade and a fair on Barnes Green on Saturday, July 12.

Visitors donned red attire to celebrate the fair’s ruby anniversary, while stallholders provided food and drink for guests.

Live music played throughout the day and cake stalls, tombolas, a second-hand book tent kept people entertained.

Some of the money raised by Barnes Fair goes towards the BCA's running costs, including maintaining its headquarters in Rose House, the historic building in Barnes High Street.

The rest is shared between nearby schools, charities, community groups and projects.
