Air ambulance: Landed in Radnor Gardens

Air ambulance: Landed in Radnor Gardens

First published in News by

A man was taken to hospital after he fell from a tree in Radnor Gardens yesterday evening.

Onlookers watched as the London’s Air Ambulance landed in the gardens in Twickenham at about 5.30pm on July 14, after the man, in his 40s, fell while climbing the tree.

Paramedics said the man may have been inebriated and climbed the large tree in front of his children, who were in their late teens, but lost his footing and fell.

The London Ambulance Service (LAS) and police were also on the scene and the man was taken to St Mary’s Hospital.

An LAS spokesman said: “We were called at 5.32pm to Radnor Gardens to reports of a man who had fallen from a tree.

“We sent two single responders in cars and one ambulance crew.

“London Air Ambulance also attended.

“Staff treated one patient, a man reported to be in his 40s, and he had injuries to his wrist.

“He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in an ambulance, escorted by a doctor from the air ambulance.”

“Staff treated one patient, a man reported to be in his 40s, and he had injuries to his wrist."

All this expensive emergency equipment (helicopter, two responder cars, proper ambulance) for an injury that just means an alcoholic show off cannot pleasure himself for a few weeks. I think less stuff like this will mean the air ambulance needs to do less fundraising and the actual ambulance service could avoid cuts!

I would like to reply to the comment above, First of all he was not drunk we we're on a family picnic, my children are not teenagers and not his. You obviously was not there as he didn't slip through alcohol the branch broke and as a waste of resources I am a tax payer and if it was one of your family or friends or even you I would not be complaining about the costs . He was not showing off he playing with the kids and don't believe everything you read in the papers!!!!!

Some people just don't know when to keep quiet. Adults don't need to be in trees to play with kids. These actions and your bad attitude sum up what is wrong with the chav classes in Britain today.
