Hugh Grant and Holly Willoughby are among the celebrities who will judge a Heathrow-themed film competition that will see one entrant bag £10,000.

About 800 guests are expected to pack out Richmond Theatre tonight, June 18, for the No Ifs No Buts competition, organised by Richmond Park MP Zac Goldsmith and Hacan chairman John Stewart.

Entrants were asked to submit a two-minute film that explains why expansion at the hub airport should not go ahead.

Other judges include Bafta-winning director Nick Broomfield, broadcaster Gyles Brandreth and commentator Rachel Johnson.

The contest is a direct response to the Prime Minister’s comments in 2009 when the then leader of the opposition made a pledge to Richmond residents there would be no third runway at Heathrow.

Hacan chairman Mr Stewart said: “Residents cheered when David Cameron said in 2009 ‘No if, no buts, there will be no third runway’.

“A packed Richmond Theatre will be urging him not to do a u-turn.”
