One lucky anti-Heathrow expansion campaigner is about to bag £10,000 in a film competition.
A gala night at Richmond Theatre next week will see a celebrity panel, including Hugh Grant and Holly Willoughby, judge films that counter the idea for a third runway at the hub airport.
The competition, set up by Hacan and Richmond Park MP Zac Goldsmith, asked entrants to submit videos explaining why the airport should not go ahead with expansion.
The shortlist of 15, from more than 50 entries, will be shown at a gala night at Richmond Theatre on June 18 where about 800 guests are expected to attend.
Among the judges are commentator Rachel Johnson, director Nick Broomfield and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth.
Mr Goldsmith said: "The response has been stunning. We have some extraordinary submissions, and the fact that we will have a full house demonstrates yet again how strongly people feel about Heathrow expansion, and past political promises that it won’t happen."
