Schoolchildren whizzed around Richmond Park on bikes this week as part of a school initiative to promote cycling.
Year 3 to 5 students from Broomfield House School cycled around the park on Wednesday, May 21, in the first ever tour de Broomfield arranged by their head of sport.
Year 3 students took part in a shorter 5km route, while older students cycled a six-mile lap.
Keen cyclist and teacher Ross Montague, who organised the ride, said: βI wanted to get the children into cycling and they have all been really excited about it.
βIt is about getting a positive message out to children, trying to get more of them cycling and cycling to school.β
