Commuters can expect delays this afternoon after a tree fell on the train tracks at Mortlake.

Services are being diverted and travellers can expect delays of up to half an hour.

Services from Waterloo to Hounslow via Richmond, and back to Waterloo via Chiswick, have been cancelled.

Trains from Waterloo to Strawberry Hill via Richmond, and back to Waterloo via Kingston, have also been cancelled.

Services towards Windsor and Eton Riverside and Reading will be diverted between Barnes and Feltham.

Mortlake, Richmond, St Margarets, Twickenham, Whitton and Strawberry Hill stations will not have services running to Feltham, Hounslow or Kingston.

Passengers may use London Buses and London Underground services via any reasonable route.

The tree has been removed and line has re-opened but passengers can still expect extended journey times.
