The polls are open for the people of Richmond to decide on the future of their council.

Lord True's Conservatives hope to retain control of Richmond Council while the Liberal Democrats are aiming to win the council back, after defeat in 2010, with a record showing from the Green Party and UKIP trying to make their mark.

After the polls close at 10pm the count could take until 5am to be complete.
