A schoolgirl saw doughnuts she designed sold in bakeries after she triumphed in a design contest.
Freya Gill, 13, was chosen as the winner in the Cavan Bakery competition after she submitted her Mr Sunshine entry for national doughnut week.
Craft bakers created the treats based on Freya’s design, which were sold in the all the company’s bakeries on Saturday, May 10.
Freya was invited to the Hampton Hill bakery to collect eight Mr Sunshine doughnuts to take home.
A donation from the sales of all the doughnuts during national doughnut week, from May 10 to 17, will go to the Children’s Trust.
