Two artists who have been inspired by locations across Surrey will display their works at the Fountain Gallery.

In their latest exhibition, Nicky Browne and Nataliya Zozulya will showcase their works from inside Hampton Court Palace, including the ornate Chapel Royal.

As the artists drew the wooden vaulted ceiling within Henry VIII’s home, organist Christopher Herrick played and practised.

The pair also enjoyed drawing in the palace gardens and said they were thrilled to be able to create their masterpieces in such a “fascinating and challenging” setting.

Zozulya has also stepped outside the palace and taken inspiration from the Thames, with colourful paintings depicting wildlife and mooring boats.

The pair first began exhibiting together after Browne spotted Zozulya, who specialises in portraits and landscapes, painting under a large plane tree in Richmond Park.

Browne who draws, along with working with lino and wood, organises her work into themes, with Strawberry Hill House among the many categories featured.
