A man was forced to pay more than £2,500 in compensation after assaulting another person at Barn Elms playing fields.
Barry Lockwood, 49, from Amersham, Buckinghamshire, was also sentenced to 80 hours unpaid work at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, April 1.
He had assaulted Roger King at the in Barnes playing fields on December 7 and pleaded guilty to the charge.
Lockwood was made to pay £2,500 compensation as well as costs which brought the total to £2,645.
