Schoolchildren put their culinary skills to the test last week as the Hampton Hill Junior School’s restaurant served the hungry public for a second year in a row.
The restaurant saw year 4 pupils serve nearly 240 people in a six-day period.
The restaurant was entirely run by the students, who ordered and prepared the food, took the orders, booked reservations and made the menus.
Eggs were laid by the school’s own chickens and any leftover were sold to customers by cashiers in the restaurant.
Trudi Morgan, head of year 4, said: “They gained so much during this time and every single one of them did their jobs superbly showing both confidence and skill.
“We are so very proud of them all.”
