It is time to dig out your boots and braces this weekend as ska tribute band 2 Tones Beyond come to Richmond.

The band, who play a mixture of first and second-wave ska hits, play at the Fox and Duck on Saturday evening.

The night of classic tunes and skanking beats is sure to delight fans of groups such as Madness, The Specials, The Selecter and The Beat.

The band’s core spent many years performing their own blend of dub, ska, surf and funk, writing and recording several albums.

Their current guise was formed when the band’s members decided their preference was the bust out the old classics all night long.

So whether you are a fan of Prince Buster and Laurel Aitken or The Bodysnatchers and Bad Manners, get down to the Fox and Duck for a night of moonstomping.

2 Tones Beyond; the Fox and Duck, Petersham Road, Richmond; March 22, 9pm until midnight; entry free on the night.
