Bricks falling from the roof of a Richmond pub meant a lucky escape for several people yesterday evening.
Firefighters were called to O'Neill's in the Quadrant at 10pm to reports of falling bricks.
They were contacted by a person who had narrowly avoided being hit.
Crew manager Nick Drewett said: "A few people had a lucky escape because obviously plenty of people were still walking by at that time.
"Police cordoned the area off and the council attended.
"We suspect the bricks must have been loosened by the recent bad weather."
The four-storey building has now been secured.
