A woman was arrested this morning after going on to the tracks at Kew Bridge station.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the station at about 7.30am today, after a woman, reported to be 21, climbed on to the tracks.

A spokesman from the Metropolitan Police said: “We were called at 7.31am to reports of a female on the track in a distressed state.

“Reports stated that she may be trying to harm herself. Police attended and trains were stopped.

“She had minor injuries to her hand.”

Drivers can still expect delays from Kew Green towards the bridge after part of the road was closed.
