A 43-year-old cyclist is in a serious condition after a collision this morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car and a cyclist collided, in Roehampton, at about 6.45am, in Priory Lane, at the junction with Arabella Drive.

London Ambulance Service attended and the male cyclist was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The driver of the car, a grey Vauxhall Astra, stopped at the scene and has not been arrested.

Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact them on 020 8941 9011.

I was a witness to this accident and it really shook me up. Please people wear helmets and be safe. Also if you see someone standing in the road with their arms up chances are something has happened behind them so please don't beep or swear at them!

Thankfully this is the actions of a few knuckle draggers, someone lays injured in the middle of the road and morons start beeping and swearing. Pond life.
