A perfect treat for this Mother's Day, Ham House offers a picturesque setting for a family day out.

The National Trust property will host afternoon teas and offer the chance for families to go on a spring stroll or make a Mother’s Day gift.

Art activities will take place in the below stairs rooms where children can get stuck in and make a special gift.

Ham House, a Stuart mansion on the banks of the Thames, houses an eclectic selection of furniture, carvings, tapestries, paintings and antiques, as well as the servants’ kitchen with its original table.

Outside, the gardens are playful mix, formal like the Cherry Garden, or wild like the Wilderness.

Mother's Day at Ham House, Ham Street, Ham; March 30; 10am to 5pm; nationaltrust.org.uk/ham-house or 020 8940 1950.
