Any questions: Lord True to attend

The leader of Richmond Council will field questions from the people of Kew and Whitton in question time style events.

The events next month aim to give people a chance to hold Lord True and cabinet members to account on the matters that mean most to them.

The first hour of each event will consist of submitted questions and the second hour will be open to the floor.

Submitted questions will be selected on a first-come first-served basis to be asked on the night, but all advance questions will receive a written answer and be published on the council website.

Lord True said: “Kew and Whitton will be the first areas in the borough to benefit from local planning guidance which is being incorporated in the Village Plans, and to make sure these accurately reflect the desires and thoughts of local residents and businesses, we want to hear what you have to say about your local area.”

The Kew event will be held on from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, March 6, at St Winifred’s Church Hall and the Whitton event will be held from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, March 13, at Twickenham Academy.

To submit a question, email events@richmond.gov.uk.

This will be a chance for a local parent to ask Cllr Hodson which primary schools will be hosting the 3 or more bulge classes that will be needed this autumn for extra reception classes

Prior to this Meeting, at 6.30pm, will be the scheduled Whitton & Heathfield Police Liaison Group Meeting, which has been moved to this venue and the earlier time so that residents can attend both this and the Council Q & A session.

Residents can hear about policing on their Ward and raise any local concerns with their Safer Neighbourhood Team. All welcome.
